The specific services available will depend on the condition of the property, the customer’s needs, safety considerations, and the scope of work agreed upon.
3. Estimates and Quotes
Any estimate or quote provided by 612 Chimney Pros is based on the information reasonably available at the time of the estimate.
An estimate may change if additional damage, deterioration, hidden conditions, code-related issues, structural problems, or other circumstances are discovered after work begins.
Unless specifically stated otherwise in writing, an estimate is not a guarantee of the final cost.
Where additional work is necessary, we will communicate the additional scope and cost to the customer when reasonably possible before proceeding.
4. Appointments
Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact information and ensuring reasonable access to the property at the scheduled appointment time.
If the property is inaccessible, unsafe, or otherwise unavailable when our technician arrives, the appointment may need to be rescheduled.
We reserve the right to charge applicable cancellation, trip, or service fees when such fees have been disclosed to the customer in advance.
5. Access and Property Conditions
Customers are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the chimney, fireplace, roof, attic, crawl space, or other areas required to perform the requested service.
Customers must disclose known hazards or conditions that could affect the safety of our personnel or the performance of the work.
612 Chimney Pros may refuse or stop work when conditions are unsafe or when access cannot reasonably be provided.
6. Chimney and Structural Conditions
Chimneys, fireplaces, masonry, liners, crowns, flashing, caps, and related structures may contain hidden defects or deterioration that cannot reasonably be identified before work begins.
Cleaning or inspection may reveal conditions requiring additional repair or further evaluation.
612 Chimney Pros is not responsible for pre-existing damage, concealed defects, deterioration, improper construction, code violations, defects caused by other contractors, or conditions that were not reasonably discoverable before work was performed.
7. Inspections
A chimney or fireplace inspection is intended to identify observable conditions within the scope of the inspection.
An inspection does not guarantee that every defect, hidden condition, or future failure will be discovered.
Certain areas may be inaccessible or concealed. Where appropriate, we may recommend additional evaluation or repair by a qualified professional.
A chimney inspection should not be interpreted as a guarantee that a chimney or fireplace is completely free of defects or hazards.
8. Cleaning Services
Chimney cleaning is intended to remove accessible soot, creosote, debris, and other deposits within the scope of the service.
The effectiveness and extent of cleaning may depend on the condition, design, accessibility, and construction of the chimney and fireplace.
Cleaning does not correct structural defects, damaged liners, masonry problems, water intrusion, improper construction, or other underlying conditions unless those services are specifically included in the agreed scope of work.
9. Repairs and Additional Work
Repairs will be performed according to the agreed scope of work.
Additional problems discovered during repair may require additional materials, labor, or services.
No additional work requiring a material increase in price will be performed without customer authorization, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary to address an urgent safety concern and the customer has authorized such action.
10. Materials and Appearance
Replacement materials may vary slightly in color, texture, size, finish, or appearance from existing materials due to age, weathering, manufacturer availability, or differences between new and existing materials.
Exact matching of existing brick, mortar, stone, caps, liners, or other materials cannot always be guaranteed.
11. Customer Responsibilities
Customers agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the property and requested services.
- Provide safe access to the areas requiring service.
- Notify 612 Chimney Pros of known hazards or relevant property conditions.
- Obtain any permissions required from landlords, homeowners associations, or other property authorities when applicable.
- Keep pets and other occupants away from active work areas when reasonably necessary.
- Pay all agreed charges according to the applicable invoice or service agreement.
12. Payment
Payment is due according to the terms communicated to the customer at the time of service.
Accepted payment methods may vary.
If payment is not received when due, the customer may be responsible for reasonable collection costs or other charges permitted by applicable law and disclosed in the applicable agreement.
13. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Customers are encouraged to provide as much notice as possible when canceling or rescheduling an appointment.
Any cancellation, no-show, or rescheduling fee will only apply if the fee was disclosed to the customer before the appointment.
612 Chimney Pros reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to severe weather, unsafe working conditions, emergencies, staffing issues, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
14. Weather and Safety
Certain chimney and exterior services may depend on weather and site conditions.
Work may be delayed or rescheduled when rain, snow, ice, high winds, lightning, extreme temperatures, roof conditions, or other circumstances create an unsafe working environment.
Safety decisions made by 612 Chimney Pros personnel are intended to protect customers, employees, contractors, and property.
15. Warranties
Any warranty provided for labor or materials will be described in the applicable written estimate, invoice, contract, or warranty documentation.
Unless expressly provided in writing, no additional warranty is created by these Terms.
Manufacturer warranties, when applicable, are subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.
Warranties may not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, weather, normal deterioration, unauthorized modifications, subsequent work by others, structural movement, water intrusion, or conditions outside the control of 612 Chimney Pros.
